A VERSATILE WATER PROBIOTIC: compatible with tanks, ponds, raceways, and aquaculture systems. Suitable for all species of marine, brackish, and freshwater. It is ideal for all life stages, from hatchery to grow-out.
FUNCTIONS:
- Stable Water Quality: As a microbial water conditioner, maintains clean water with the desired appearance (such as color) in tanks and ponds, ensuring it remains visually appealing and healthy for aquatic life.
- Water Quality Restoration: Improves water quality by addressing common issues such as bad odors, stickiness, and cloudiness (turbidity), ensuring the water returns to a healthy, clear state.
- Enhanced Bottom Health: It breaks down organic waste at the bottom of tanks or ponds, preventing harmful buildups of sludge or debris that could affect water quality and ecosystem balance.
- Harmful Indicator Eradication: Eliminates toxic substances such as ammonia nitrogen, nitrite, and hydrogen sulfide, which can harm aquatic life, improving overall water safety and health.
- Control of Pathogens: Promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the water, which helps suppress the growth of harmful, pathogenic bacteria that could cause disease or other issues in the aquatic environment.
BENEFITS:
- Low to no incidence of diseases and infections.
- Favorable healthy environment for aquatic life.
- Reduced stress, regulated crustacean molting.
- Good growth, higher survival, maximized profit.
- Abstinent from antibiotics, low production cost.
- Sustainable practice for green aquaculture.
USAGE & DOSAGE:
Directions: For better effect apply PROBAC in the water after activation (as described herein).
For tank water: Apply 2-4 g/m³, typically once every day.
If water quality deteriorates, increase the dose as needed.
In severe instances, a maximum dose of 10 g/m³ may be applied.
For fish and shrimp hatcheries, the recommended doses are below…
- Broodstock tank: 2 g/m³
- Shrimp larval rearing tank: 2-5 g/m³
(Pre-stocking: 2-3 g/m³, Zoea 2-3 g/m³, Mysis 2.5-3.5 g/m³, PL 3-4 g/m³, Nursery 3-5 g/m³)
- Rosenbergii/Crab larval rearing tank: 2-5 g/m³
(Start with 2 g/m³ in larval stage, increase the dose by 10% every other day to reach 5 g/m³ in megalopa and PL stage)
- Fish fry rearing tank: 2-4 g/m³
(Start with 2 g/m³ in early stage, increase the dose by 10% every day to reach 4 g/m³ in later stage)
For pond water: Apply 1 kg/acre/meter, every 10-15 days.
- Emergency application: If sudden water or bottom quality deterioration is monitored, apply appropriately higher dose at once after partial water exchange where possible.
- Initial application: For new ponds after filling water (before stocking) 0.5 kg/acre/meter; and for old pond with deteriorated water quality (before stocking) increased dose to be applied like 1-2 kg/acre/meter.
Other specific usage and directions: To be determined by perspective aquaculture expert, practically based on waterbody, cultured species, stages, water quality and overall conditions.
Activation Process:
- Mixing: Mix 500 g of PROBAC with 20 liters of clean water and add 500 g of brown sugar.
- Soaking/Aeration: Soak or gently aerate the mixture for 30-60 minutes to activate.
- Preparation: Stir well to make it a slurry.
- Application: Spread the activated slurry evenly on the pond water surface.
Sieve the slurry through a suitable mesh net before applying in tank water.
PRECAUTION:
- Do not use any antibiotic, disinfectant or insecticide simultaneously.
- Pay attention to increase oxygen in the pond after application.
- If water appears turbid shortly after use, it is a normal phenomenon indicating organic matter is being decomposed.
