Feeding Method

To feed Zoea, Mysis and Post-Larval shrimp, wash flakes through a 60-250 mesh screen (250-57 micron openings). Feed several times per day. Aquaculture expert should determine per feeding amount of flakes as it varies upon larval species and density. Only feed an amount which the shrimp larva can consume in about 10 minutes.

Sieve through desired mesh for each stage of shrimp larval development, we recommend as follows…

  • Use 200 – 250 mesh screen for Zoea stage.
  • Use 150 – 180 mesh screen for Mysis stage.
  • Use 100 – 150 mesh screen for P1~P3 stage.
  • Use 100 – 20 mesh screen for P6~P20 stage.

For fish, feed two or more times per day. Only feed an amount that the fish can consume in about five minutes. Recommended 1~2 times/day, 1~2 gram/100,000 pcs fry.
